Of partners and stuff…
Conversations with friends about relationships, disappoinment, betrayal, hope and all that other good stuff that romatic love often entails, I’ve come to wonder the following:
1) What makes me "lovable" to those of the opposite sex?
2) What have my partners learned from me? Is there anything good they have taken with them after the breakup? Did I contribute in any good way to their lives?
3) What do past partners think of when they hear my name or I happen to enter their mind (if that ever happens)? Is there anything they wish they had told me? What would they do or say if we suddenly ran into each other on the street? How awkward would that be?
4) Just how much baggage did I leave them? I sure hope it was light, but, then again, you never know.
