Morning Has Broken

En la mañana que hablé por teléfono con mi mamá, ella me felicitó por ser Día de las Madres. Le dije que debería ser al revés, que era yo quien debía felicitarla a ella. Ella contestó que a mí también había que felicitar pues lo tenía merecido con tantos animales (5 perros, 3 gatos, 2 tortugas) que tengo. Dijo que soy "una mamá adoptiva".

Sin querer ando estrenando nuevo look. El sábado fui a que me cortaran el cabello y pues vaya que ese corte aportó a un nuevo look. A la señora que me cortó el cabello definitivamente se le pasó la mano y quedé con el cabello muy corto. Luego, ya me tocaba cambiar lentes (desde cuando) así que con eso terminé el nuevo look.

Finalmente logré hacer biscotti. Tenía meses queriendo hornear esas galletitas italianas. Me decidí a hacerlas pues quiero compartirlas con el personal del hospital donde trabajo, sobre todo siendo la semana de los enfermeros. Mas vale tenerlos contentos pues uno nunca sabe cuando vaya ser uno de ellos quien tenga que ponerte un catéter.

A few nights ago I dreamt I had injured a leg and had to get a cast on it and use crutches. Last night, like several other nights before, I dreamt that somebody was attracted to me. Funny thing is I had forgotten about the dream until I listened to a song by The Smiths this afternoon.

Hace poco me enteré de los últimos acontecimientos en la vida de un ex novio. Me dio tristeza saber que sus papás ya habían fallecido. Por otra parte, ambos padecían de varias enfermedades y sus cuerpos ya estaban muy cansados y en bastante dolor. También me enteré que él ya terminó la maestría y que ya tiene cierto tiempo en su trabajo. En hora buena se da esa estabilidad en su vida. Como dirián los gringos, "the cherry on the cake" fue saber que tiene novia y que vive con ella. Me dio mucho gusto por él saber que tiene con quien compartir su vida.
